TEECHERS - the classic Godber play at Aberystwyth Arts Centre
TEECHERS, from BAFTA award winner John Godber will tour the UK this Autumn and visit 17 different towns and cities. Produced by The John Godber Company and Theatre Royal Wakefield, TEECHERS has a strong cast of 3 including Frances Wood, a finalist from The Voice UK 2012, James
Dryden and Laura Bryars.

Gail, Hobby and Salty are three fifth form students who, through their end of term play, tell the hilarious story of an idealistic new teacher in his perilous first days inside a local comprehensive school. The three cast members effortlessly transform into a vast array of other characters in this contemporary classic including teachers, dinner ladies, students, an obstructive caretaker and of course, the school bully.

Teechers puts the education system under a microscope and examines the themes and issues that are still relevant today. Previous cast members have included Gilly Tompkins (Heartbeat, Eastenders, Birds of a Feather), Zoe Lister (Hollyoaks) and Shirley Anne Selby (Nuns On the Run).

Teechers is performed at Aberystwyth Arts Centre on Wednesday 20 and Thursday 21 November.
