Singin’ in the Rain comes to Wales Millennium Centre One month to go until hit West End musical Singin’ in the Rain comes to Wales Millennium Centre

The Centre today released a striking image of beautifully lit floating umbrellas on the Flourish to mark a month until the biggest show to hit Cardiff this Christmas - SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN – arrives at the iconic venue.

The critically acclaimed award-winning Chichester Festival Theatre production, which stars Maxwell Caulfield as RF Simpson and Faye Tozer as Lina Lamont, comes to the Centre from 3 December to 5 January 2014, as part of a nationwide tour.

A show that all the family can enjoy, Singin’ in the Rain tells the story of Don Lockwood, a silent movies star with everything he could want - fame, adulation and a well-publicised ‘romance’ with his co-star Lina Lamont. But Hollywood is about to change forever. There is rumour in the studio of a new kind of film, where the actors actually talk…and sing...and dance. Can Don and the uniquely voiced Lina make the transition and will chorus girl Kathy Selden fulfil her dream of stardom and capture Don’s heart along the way? The show features songs by Nacio Herb Brown and Arthur Freed, including Make ‘em Laugh, Good Morning, Moses Supposes and Singin’ in the Rain.

Singin’ in the Rain runs from 3 December to 5 January 2014. Tickets range from £19 to £47.50. Concessions available. Tickets are now on sale. To book, or for further information please visit www.wmc.org.uk or call 02920 63 6464.
