Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama National Eisteddfod Field Date: Tuesday 6 August 2002 Time: 2.30pm Venue: Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama's stand on the Eisteddfod field. Event: Launch of Sylw - Meic Povey's new Welsh drama, in conjunction with Sgript Cymru. Published by Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. Notes: the commissioning of original plays in Welsh is an annual initiative by RWCMD. The plays are by leading playwrights for public performance at the College and for publication in paperback with colour photographs of the production. Sylw, by Meic Povey, was performed by third-year acting students directed by Eryl Huw Phillips in the Bute Theatre in February 2002, followed by a tour of Wales. |
