Drama is Alive at the Muni

Rhondda Cynon Taff Cultural Services’ brand new drama season at The Muni Arts Centre Pontypridd features a Shakespeare classic and the premier of a brand new production telling the story of the ultimate rock legend, Tom Jones.

Kicking off the season on Saturday 1 March – Saturday 8 March at 7.30pm (excluding Sunday), including a matinee performance on Wednesday 5 March at 1.00pm, is the exciting premier of Tom - The Story Of Tom Jones. Presented by Theatr Na nOg in association with RCT Theatres and NPT Theatres, this brand new production, with live rock’n’roll music tells the story of the early years of Tom Jones before he became an International megastar growing up in South Wales Valleys, touring the pubs and clubs, perfecting his craft as one of the world’s most celebrated entertainers. This is recommended for ages 15 and over, tickets cost £15.00, concessions £10.00, opening night all tickets £10.00.

Also at The Muni on Tuesday 18 March at 7.00pm and Wednesday 19 March at 1.00pm is one of Shakespeare’s most famous plays - Romeo & Juliet. Presented by Black RAT Productions in association with RCT Theatres, this Shakespeare classic is given a modern set and introduces some of South Wales’ finest emerging young actors. Tickets cost £6.50 and school workshops are also available.
