A second multi-million pound wave of public service cuts by one of Wales’ largest county boroughs has “devastated” local communities following D-day discussions this afternoon.Rhondda Cynon Taf Council’s cabinet members have rubber-stamped sweeping £3.7m annual savings, as the authority seeks to shed £70m from its budget over the next four years. The Muni Arts Centre in Pontypridd and the Cynon Valley Museum and Gallery have both been axed, and the Coliseum Theatre in Aberdare and Park and Dare Theatre in Treorchy now face reduced programmes. |
