Songs from the Woodlands

Over three days, Venice Manley will teach songs and different vocal techniques from around the world. NO EXPERIENCE OF SINGING IS NEEDED, JUST A WILLINGNESS TO PARTICIPATE. Be part of the newly formed choir and present an outdoor concert in The Beech Glade in Bishop's Wood, near Caswell Bay on the beautiful Gower peninsula. Also performing will be Venice's own acappella group, Kite.

Ms Manley has worked closely with Frankie Armstrong, Helen Chadwick, Isaye Barnwell, the Giving Voice project in Wales, The Natural Voice Association, The Roy Hart Theatre and Pantheatre. She teaches regularly at the Guildhall School of Music, the Philippe Gaulier School, The International Workshop, The Odin Theatre, the USA and Canada.

The workshops will be held (indoors) on Thursday 24th, Friday 25th at 5-7pm
and all day Saturday 26th October. The concert will start at
2:30pm, Sunday 27th October and promises to be
a spectacular event!

Both the workshops and the concert are FREE and all adults are welcome (15yrs and over) regardless of experience.

This project is part of the City and County of Swansea's Environment and Arts Festival,
and is supported by an "Arts for All" lottery grant from the Arts Council of Wales.
