VOR Novello was one of Wales's most famous sons.But although his acting and musical talents are legendary, not many people know about the man behind the public face. Theatr y Byd will be exploring his life during a new production, Inside Out - A Portrait of Ivor Novello. It will focus on the good days when his hit musical The Dancing Years was enthralling audiences in the West End and the bleaker times when, at the height of his fame, he was imprisoned in Wormwood Scrubs for buying bootleg petrol for his Rolls Royce during rationing.
