The New Theatre announces four exciting new shows NOW ON SALE     

The New Theatre announces four exciting new shows, now on sale, at the popular city centre venue. They are Room on the Broom (Friday 24 – Sunday 26 July), Blood Brothers (Monday 28 September – Saturday 10 October), Horrible Histories: Groovy Greeks & Incredible Invaders (Tuesday 17 – Saturday 21 November) and The Shawshank Redemption (Monday 23 – Saturday 28 November)

Fasten your seatbelts for a rip-roaring ride on a broomstick when Julia Donaldson’s classic children’s story Room on the Broom returns to the New from Friday 24 – Sunday 26 July. This spellbinding show brought to you by the creators of The Gruffalo finds the right balance of storytelling, audience participation, music and comedy to keep little ones entertained.

Willy Russell’s legendary Blood Brothers is back by popular demand to thrill Cardiff audiences from Monday 28 September – Saturday 10 October. Follow the captivating and moving tale of two brothers separated at birth only to meet again as children and later as adults with tragic consequences. The memorable score includes Bright New Day, Marilyn Monroe and Tell Me It’s not True.

Horrible Histories returns and this time it’s the turn of the Groovy Greeks and Incredible Invaders from Tuesday 17 – Saturday 21 November. Using actors and groundbreaking special effects audiences will be thrilled by this exciting show where historical events and figures come to life on stage and hover at your fingertips.

Stephen King’s classic story The Shawshank Redemption is brought to the stage in a brand new production from Monday 23 – Saturday 28 November. This gripping thriller set in an American jail follows Andy Dufresne who is framed for murder of this wife. Thrown into prison, Andy quickly learns that no one can survive alone. A must see for fans of the popular movie.
