PANTO FAVOURITE KEVIN JOHNS RETURNS TO THE GRAND THEATRE THIS CHRISTMAS IN JACK AND THE BEANSTALK!

Swansea Grand Theatre has announced that its spectacular family pantomime Jack and the Beanstalk will once again star Swansea favourite Kevin Johns as the loveable Dame Trot. This will be Kevin's 17th pantomime at the theatre and follow's the Grand's announcement that television celebrity, Dancing on Ice Judge, and West End theatre sensation Louie Spence will lead the cast.

As well as his Breakfast programme on Swansea Sound Kevin is one of Wales' busiest comperes and stage performers. Known as one of the UK's leading pantomime Dames he has also appeared with The Wales Theatre Company and regularly appears with Fluellen Theatre Company.

When Kevin is not performing he is an active fundraiser for local charities and is Patron for charities including Harry's Fund and Treat Trust Wales. He is also President of Swansea Male Voice Choir and Rising Stars Theatre Company and a number of other local charities and campaigns. He also follows his beloved Swansea City.

Kevin was honoured to be presented with the MBE by The Queen for services to charity in Wales, and has also been honoured by the South Evening Post Pride Awards and received the Ambassador of Swansea Award and has received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the Swansea City Awards Dinner.

Jonathan Kiley, Executive Producer of Jack and the Beanstalk said, "We are delighted that Kevin will be returning to the Swansea pantomime this Christmas. His comic talent as Dame is second-to-none and Swansea pantomime simply wouldn't be the same without him!"

Kevin Johns said, "I am very excited about having the chance to be part of this year's Jack and the Beanstalk, which is one of my favourite pantomime title. I'm looking forward to working with Louie Spence who has been in some fantastic shows in his career. There is no better theatre to be in pantomime than the Swansea Grand".

Jack and the Beanstalk is produced by Qdos Entertainment, the world's biggest pantomime producer, and as Swansea audiences have come to expect will be packed with laugh-out-loud comedy, spectacular special effects and, of course, a loveable cow and a Beanstalk, with one very mean Giant at the top of it!

Jack and the Beanstalk runs from Friday 11 December 2015 to Sunday 10 January 2016. Tickets start from only £11.50, with concessions and group discounts, which can be purchased on 01792 475715 or online at www.swanseagrand.co.uk
