Frank is back with sure-fire hit!

Wales’ favourite playwright, Frank Vickery, is back at RCT Theatres with his bittersweet comedy Roots and Wings. This endearing play is at the Coliseum Theatre on Monday 1 & Tuesday 2 June at 7.00pm, plus a matinee performance on Wednesday 3 June at 1.00pm, before moving straight to the Park & Dare Treorchy on Thursday 4 & Friday 5 June at 7.30pm, plus a matinee on Saturday 6 June at 2.00pm.

As well as writing and directing this production, Frank also stars as Griff, who’s married to Ruby. They have one son, Nigel and he has a secret or two that Griff finds hard to come to terms with. He’s discovered his son is not only a drag queen, but also gay. So it’s left to solid and dependable Ruby to hold the family together, while dealing with her own confused emotions!

This is one of Frank’s most endearing and bittersweet comedies, and he’s looking forward to taking a starring role as he explains

“I can’t wait to take to the stage with this drama. The laughs come thick and fast and I had a ball writing it, plus I have a wonderful cast lined up which includes Lorraine John, Susan Kingman, Jason Marc Williams, Laura Clements and Richard Tunley, so I can promise you bellyaching laughter and a fantastic night out at the theatre!”

This sure-fire comedy is packed with Frank’s hilarious trademark one-liners interwoven with moments that will tug at your heart strings. Tickets cost £12.00 Concessions £10.00, with selected special offers available. For more information and to book tickets call the Box Office on 08000 147 11 or go to
