A variety show with a difference, Ladder is an exuberant, exciting and entertaining event produced by our Arts Active team. Devised with the help of members from NoFit State Circus, Earthfall, Rubicon Dance, Everyman Youth and Community Music Wales, the show can be seen at the New Theatre on Saturday 8 August. Using the ladder motif, young people aged 14-25 years will be encouraged to ‘climb ever higher’ as they work with arts professionals to create a unique celebratory event. The audience will be treated to an evening of eclectic performances from talented actors, graceful dancers, exciting musicians and breathtaking circus acts. Many of these very talented young people will be performing at the New Theatre for the very first time, all overseen by the New’s outreach department, Arts Active. David Baxter, the Arts Active Manager, had this to say: “Ladder is about the young people – an opportunity to celebrate and showcase their talents and skills, as well as a chance for them to come together exploring their worlds, their dreams and ideals for the future.” Ladder is at the New Theatre on Saturday 8 August.
