Three new shows on sale at the New Theatre

Just a month after revealing a series of new shows, the New Theatre has today announced that three more exciting productions have been confirmed for 2016. Two musicals and a children’s classic will appear at the beginning of the year, adding to the entertaining line-up.

Laugh-out-loud musical Avenue Q returns to the New Theatre from Monday 25 — Saturday 30 January 2016, following loveable New Yorkers trying to make sense of life’s burning issues. This is a hilarious, cheeky and uproariously entertaining show, with a terrific batch of songs performed by a cast of hugely talented performers and puppets. (Note: this production is strictly for over-15s.)

Dr Seuss’ The Cat in the Hat arrives on the New’s doorstep from Friday 19 — Sunday 21 February 2016. A rainy afternoon turns into an amazing adventure for Sally and her brother when The Cat enters their house. Playing during the half term holiday, the family show is a lively and engaging first theatre experience for children aged three and over.

Footloose, based on the popular 1980s movie starring Kevin Bacon, dances its way back to Cardiff from Monday 29 February — Saturday 5 March 2016. The foot-tapping musical is packed full of electrifying dancing and classic eighties hits like Holding Out for a Hero, Almost Paradise and title track Footloose.

All these shows are now on sale. For further details or to book tickets visit www.newtheatrecardiff.co.uk or call the Box Office on (029) 2087 8889. A small transaction charge is applied to all bookings.
