Frank Vickery makes a welcome return to the Coliseum Theatre Aberdare and the Park & Dare Treorchy this October with something a bit different. He’s pulled together his three favourite one act plays in to one hilarious night of drama called 3 Of The Best.

After I’m Gone, All Through The Night, and A Night Out are all written by, directed by and starring Frank Vickery will be at The Coliseum Theatre Aberdare Monday 5 & Tuesday 6 October 7.30pm & Wednesday 7 October 1.00pm, before transferring to the Park & Dare Treorchy Thursday 8 & Friday 9 October at 7.30pm & Saturday 10 October at 2.00pm.

After I’m Gone is the first play Frank ever produced and is responsible for kicking off his writing career – it won the prestigious Howard de Walden Trophy for the Best One Act play in 1978 and is arguably one of his funniest! It stars Frank Vickery, Gareth Gibbs (who was also in the original production) Kate Powell and Marie Arnold. The story revolves a very welsh Mam who doesn’t want her shy, introvert daughter to marry to local undertaker, inevitable things don’t go exactly to plan, but turn out better for Mam than expected. All Through the Night started life as a radio play it follows a married couple (played by Frank Vickery and Iris Griffiths) as they retire to bed, but tonight turns out to be very special, in more ways than one! A Night Out is a riotous comedy starring Frank, Iris, Kate and new-comer Owen Pugh. Dai Pigeon and his wife are getting ready to go to the annual Pigeon Club Dinner. Doreen, their daughter, can’t wait to get them out of the house as she has arranged for her boyfriend to come over to keep her company – but first she has to get her dithering parents out of the house!

Packed with Frank’s trademark line-liners and laugh-out-loud antics, these three little gems are absolutely unmissable.

Tickets cost £12.00 for adults and concessions cost £10.00. There is a special offer of two stalls tickets for £14.00 on the opening night at both venues. Call the Box Office on 08000 147 111 or book online @
