Lots to ‘Chalk About’ at Blackwood Miners’

Award winning performance company Curious Seed will bring their family dance theatre show Chalk About to Blackwood Miners’ Institute next week for a performance that will delight both children and adults alike.

The show, which takes place on Wednesday 4th November at 6pm focuses on self-identity, with expressive dance performers Christine Devaney and Hendrik Lebon using their physicality and a black room festooned with chalk illustrations to conjure a universe of prehistoric beasts, rock stars, wizards and wonder, which invites over-eights to consider themes of identity, family and belonging.

Join the performers on their journey as they ask some BIG questions about identity and the meaning of life. What makes us who we are? Is it where we are from? Is it the way we dance? Our pasts or our futures? And, most importantly, doesn’t everyone like pizza?!

Curious Seed’s Chalk About is suitable for children aged 8 and over and their families. Tickets cost £7 and £6 for concessions and £24 for a family of four.
