The production is back by popular demand following record-breaking sell out visits to the New Theatre in 2012 and 2014. The scene is set when a group of people gathered in a country house cut off by the snow discover, to their horror, that there is a murderer in their midst. One by one the suspicious characters reveal their sordid pasts until at the last, nerve-shredding moment the identity and the motive are finally revealed. Famous around the world for being the longest running show of any kind in the history of theatre, The Mousetrap had enjoyed over 26,000 performances in 50 languages. There is rarely a night without a performance somewhere in the world, but there have never before been so many productions deliberately licensed in the same period. Agatha Christie’s books have sold billions of copies around the world – more than any other author except Shakespeare and The Bible. At one point she had three plays running at the same time in the West End, a feat never matched by any other woman.
