Mon 13 – Thurs 16th Feb A gripping plot and nail biting tension are on the menu in talkingScarlet’s latest dramatic offering. The Sound of Murder by William Fairchild is at Swansea Grand Theatre from Monday 13th to Thursday 16th February at 7.30pm, with a matinee on Wednesday at 2.00pm.

Charles Norbury is a successful writer of children’s books but he doesn't like children. An unlovable man, he has no friends, is arrogant, controlling, sadistic and cruel. His wife, starved of love and denied children of her own, has met another man. In their cottage in Surrey, a tape recorder has been left on during a conversation between his wife and her lover in which the latter plans the author’s murder. Charles’ secretary listens to the tape and hears the murder plot.

Starring talkingScarlet stalwarts Michelle Morris (The Knock) and Marcus Hutton (Brookside), The Sound of Murder guarantees a thrilling night of entertainment.

GHOST – THE MUSICAL

A brand new production of the timeless story of love, despair and hope, Ghost - the Musical, is at Swansea Grand Theatre from Monday 20th to Saturday 25th February at 7.30pm, with matinees on Thursday and Saturday at 2.30pm.

Taking its inspiration from the classic movie, this innovative reimagining will feature an expanded book, new music and original staging.

The Double Academy Award winning movie is a huge success story, both critically and at the Box Office, where it was the highest grossing film in the year of its release. It starred the late Patrick Swayze, Demi Moore, Tony Goldwyn and Whoopi Goldberg and was directed by Jerry Zucker.

Bruce Joel Rubin's script won the Oscar® for Best Original Screenplay and Whoopi Goldberg won the Oscar® for Best Actress in a Supporting Role. The film's most iconic and moving scene was famously performed to The Righteous Brother's Unchained Melody, which also features in the musical version. Ghost won numerous other awards and nominations, including being nominated for an Academy Award for Best Film.

Walking back to their apartment late one night a tragic encounter sees Sam murdered and his beloved girlfriend Molly alone, in despair and utterly lost. But with the help of a phony storefront psychic Sam, trapped between this world and the next, tries to communicate with Molly in the hope of saving her from grave danger…

The Circus of Horrors celebrates its 21st anniversary with its latest incarnation, The Never - Ending Nightmare. The spectacle features an amazing amalgamation of bizarre, brave and beautiful acts all woven into a Alice in Horrorland type story and is at Swansea Grand Theatre on Monday 27th February at 7.30pm.

Annually The Circus of Horrors plays over a hundred UK theatres and this tour has expanded to take in festivals throughout the world, including The Fuji Rock Festival in Japan, the Wacken Festival in Germany, plus shows in Chile, Uruguay, Holland, Belgium, Argentina, France, Italy, Ireland, Finland, Hong Kong and Moscow where it became the first UK Circus ever to perform in Russia. The show also played an astounding ten nights at London's O2.

This is not the first time that The Circus of Horrors has created history as it became the only circus ever to reach the finals of Britain’s Got Talent and the first circus to perform in London's West End for over 100 years.

The Circus of Horrors’ appearances on various subsequent TV shows have turned what started as a cult show into a household name, taking the extreme to the mainstream. Its TV credits now also boast The X Factor, The Slammer, Daybreak, Fairground Attractions, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Body Shockers, Fake Reaction, This Morning, Ant & Dec, The One Show and A Royal Command Performance.

The Circus of Horrors started its gruesome beginnings at the 1995 Glastonbury Festival and became an instant hit, touring all over the world from Chile to Chatham, Argentina to Aberdeen, Japan to Jersey, including festival appearances with Alice Cooper, Eminem, Motley Crue, Oasis, Iron Maiden, The Manic St Preachers, Foo Fighters and many more.

BACK TO BACHARACH

Back to Bacharach at Swansea Grand Theatre on Tuesday 28th February at 7.30pm, celebrates the magical music of Burt Bacharach, one of the most accomplished popular composers of the 20th Century, who together with Hal David penned some of the most memorable and iconic hits that stand the test of time.

Back to Bacharach is performed by three of the finest West End singers who are accompanied by a live ten piece band. The vocalists have performed all over the world and most recently on the Strictly Come Dancing arena tour, Jesus Christ Superstar ,The Phantom of the Opera, My Fair Lady, Miss Saigon, West Side Story and Whistle Down the Wind. The musicians are regular performers with BBC orchestras and various touring shows throughout the UK.

Together singers and musicians recreate Burt Bacharach's timeless hits, including Alfie, Anyone Who Had A Heart, Arthur's Theme, Always Something There To Remind Me, Close To You, I Say A Little Prayer For You, Walk On By, What’s New Pussycat?, 24 Hours from Tulsa, Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head and many more.

Back to Bacharach have partnered with Breast Cancer Now, the
UKs leading breast cancer charity and will be donating £1 to the charity from each theatre ticket sold.
