Directed by Dorota Kobiela & Hugh Welchman, with the beautiful accompanying music composed by Award Winning Musician Clint Mansell, Loving Vincent (12A) is in some ways both a biopic as well as a love-letter to the famed painter Vincent Van Gogh.The film features almost 65,000 hand-painted frames, making up this animated masterpiece, crafted by 125 painters and produced by Oscar-winning studios Breakthru Films and Trademark Films. Set a year after Vincent Van Gogh’s untimely passing, Postman Joseph Roulin sends his son out with a mission to deliver the artist’s final written letter, to a worthy recipient. During the visit to Auvers-sure-Oise, Armand uncovers more about the mysterious and troubled Artists’ life, after speaking to many of the residents touched by Vincent Van Gogh’s life, featuring as subjects in many of his paintings… You too can experience this breath-taking insight into one of the art world’s greatest influences, this November at the Torch Theatre, Milford Haven. ‘Loving Vincent’ (12A) is screening from Friday 10 to Wed 15 November, with a subtitled screening on Monday 13 November, 6.00pm.
