A truly authentic Rolling Stones experience with the world number one Mick Jagger lookalike in Paul Ashworth, The Rolling Stones Story promises you an unforgettable Jumpin’ Jack Flash back in time. It’s Only Rock ‘n’ Roll, but we like it!

The Rolling Stones have dominated Rock ’n’ Roll music since the 1960s and were at the forefront of the British Invasion of bands that conquered the US in 1964. They ran neck and neck with The Beatles in the popularity stakes with the late sixties and early seventies considered by many as their Golden Age.

Recreating the legendary live shows of the real thing, The Rolling Stones Story offers all the hits, some of the most phenomenal Rock ‘n’ Roll songs of all time - Satisfaction, Jumpin’ Jack Flash, Not Fade Away, Honky Tonk Woman, Brown Sugar, Start Me Up.

THE EMBROIDERY GIRL

Experience breath-taking Chinese dance from one of the country’s top choreographers. The Embroidery Girl brings its European tour to Swansea Grand Theatre on Fri 30 Mar at 7.30pm for one night only.

The Embroidery Girl is a sublimely beautiful dance drama, set during the transition period from the Qing Dynasty (the last imperial dynasty) to the Republic of China, a moment of great historical significance.

Through a combination of innovative choreography from top Chinese director Zhao Ming, striking stage presentation from multi award-winning contemporary stage designer Zhang Jiwen and beautiful storytelling, it tells weaves the tale of Master Xiu Nang’s life, loves and grand accomplishments, from her beginnings as a poor girl fighting for the liberty to live and love freely. At the centre of the tale is her embroidery, work which became renowned as the famous Embroidery Art Bible in male dominated Qing Dynasty China.

Starring Chinese dance superstar Zhang Yashu, this large-scale, international production debuted in China, later touring to the USA and Canada, where it received rave reviews. Filled with spectacular contemporary and classical dance, music, tragedy and lots of humour The Embroidery Girl brings old and new together in a unique and powerful artistic expression of movement and storytelling.

Featuring internationally acclaimed George Michael tribute artist Wayne Dilks together with his incredible 7 piece band and backing singers, this extraordinary production is based upon the George Michael 25 Live Tour, using actual footage from this legendary tour on a unique video wall throughout the night.

To produce a show that pays tribute to such a true musical legend and possibly the finest solo star Britain has ever produced takes huge dedication and commitment, Wayne Dilks has been performing the songs of George Michael for over 16 years and is internationally recognised as the closest in vocal, stage presence and look. So much so that he was invited to perform twice on ITV’s Stars in their eyes both in 2002 and again in the 2004 live tour shows.
