Scriptwriting lecturer vacancy The University of Wales Aberystwyth are currently seeking a lecturer to teach scriptwriting for film, television and new media. The post will involve teaching students from first year to postgraduate level, ideally in Welsh and English, in the following subject areas: Writing for the Screen and Television (second year) Advanced Scriptwriting (third year) Writing the Visual (first year) Production module for the MA in Television Studies Applicants' relevant experience will ideally include media production although the University welcomes applications from specialists in other areas. The workshops will be led by Laura Haughey and Bill Hopkinson and will explore: Day 1 Bodies at play - awakening the senses to the possibilities of play we discovered as children Day 2 Moving Energies - exploring the possibilities for change offered by half-masks drawn from Commedia and Eastern traditions Day 3 Mask, Voice, Text - an intensive voice workshop which treats the making of sound as a whole body activity, using the discoveries of the previous workshops as a way of unlocking vocal potential. The workshops will take place between 10.30 - 5.00 and will cost 45 for the three days.
