PHILOMUSICA AT THE MOVIES +
NEIL BRAND PRESENTS BUSTER KEATON
Canolfan y Celfyddydau Aberystwyth Arts Centre
Mawrth 23 & 24 March Ar ddydd Sadwrn 23ain o Fawrth, daw Underground, un o glasuron sinema fud Prydain oddi wrth y cyfarwyddwr Anthony Asquith, i Ganolfan y Celfyddydau gyda sgôr newydd wych gan Neil Brand (BBC4 Sound of Cinema a chyfrannwr rheolaidd ar Film Programme BBC Radio 4) yn cael ei chwarae gan Philomusica o dan arweiniad David Russell Hulme.

I ychwanegu at yr awyrgylch ceir uchafbwybtiau sgorau ffilm clasurol eraill gan gynnwys Gone with the Wind a Murder on the Orient Express. Cerddorfa symffoni lawn yn chwarae’n fyw o dan y Sgrîn Fawr - profiad disglair a bythgofiadwy.

Ar ddydd Sul 24ain o Fawrth, mae'r cyfansoddwr, cerddor a darlledwr Neil Brand ei hun yn cyflwyno prynhawn o Buster Keaton, gan ddefnyddio clipiau o'i fomentau mwyaf doniol a'r ffilm hir wych Steamboat Bill, Jr.

Rydym yn teithio gyda Neil drwy fywyd cynnar Buster, ei jôcs doniolaf a'i styntiau mwyaf dewr ac i gloi, wnawn ni wylio ef yn ceisio synnu'i dad ar yr afon ac yn dod yn sownd yn y corwynt 'na sy'n dod a'i dŷ i lawr o'i gwmpas. Os oeddech chi'n meddwl eich bod chi'n gyfarwydd â Buster, bydd digon i'ch synnu.

Dyma benwythnos sy'n dathlu sinema glasurol a cherddoriaeth hyfryd Neil Brand (digwyddiadau gyda tocynnau ar wahan).
On Saturday March 23rd, Underground, a classic of British silent cinema from director Anthony Asquith, comes to the Arts Centre with a brilliant new score by Neil Brand (BBC4 Sound of Cinema and Radio 4 Film Programme regular) played by Philomusica, under conductor David Russell Hulme.

Setting the mood will be highlights from the other classic film scores, including Gone with the Wind and Murder on the Orient Express. A full symphony orchestra playing live below the Big Screen - a vivid and unforgettable experience.

On Sunday March 24th, composer, musician and broadcaster Neil Brand himself presents an afternoon of Buster Keaton, using clips of his funniest moments and the magnificent feature Steamboat Bill, Jr.

We journey with Neil through Buster's early life, his funniest gags and most death-defying stunts and finally watch him try to impress his river-rat father and get caught in a cyclone that brings THAT house falling down around him. If you thought you knew Buster, there will be plenty to surprise you - if you've never seen Buster live, this is the perfect way to do it.

This will be a weekend celebration of classic cinema and Neil Brand's wonderful music (events ticketed separately).
