HYDREF 23 OCTOBER
Bydd ail-ryddhau’r albwm wedi’i ailwampio “9Bach” (Real World Records) hwyrach eleni yn gweld y band yn teithio gyda’i albwm gyntaf clodfawr am y tro gyntaf. Bydd yr albwm, sy’n ail-greu nifer o ganeuon gwerin traddodiadol Cymraeg ar gynfas sain sbectrol a swynol, yn gweld y band yn teithio ar draws nifer o leoliadau'r DU, gan gynnig cynulleidfaoedd cyfle prin i weld y band gwych hwn yn fyw.

Wedi’i ffurfio gan Martin Hoyland (Pusherman) a Lisa Jên (un sydd wedi canu gyda Gruff Rhys a Public Service Broadcasting), pan glywodd Martin Lisa’n canu yn ei chegin! Gig gyntaf y band oedd yn Greenman yn 2005 gyda’r cais gyntaf am CD yn dod gan Bonnie Prince Billy. Ers hynny maen nhw wedi cyd-weithio gydag artistiaid ar draws y byd, wedi derbyn adolygiadau peni-gamp ac wedi chwarae ar lwyfannau ledled y byd, ond dydyn nhw erioed wedi teithio’r albwm hwn!

Caneuon sy’n eich tywys drwy dirwedd y Gogledd, yn llawn emosiwn wrth i galon a sain pob hanes yn datgelu trwy naratif gafaelgar a phersain. Mae lleisiau arallfydol a churiadau dyb yn cyfuno gyda’r delyn, gitâr , harmoniwm a threfniadau craff iawn.

The re-release of the remastered album “9Bach” (Real World Records) later this year, will see the band tour their critically acclaimed self- titled debut for the very first time. The album, which recasts traditional Welsh folk songs onto a spectral and haunting sound canvas will sees them tour several venues across the UK , offering audiences a rare chance to see this stunning act live.

Formed by Martin Hoyland (Pusherman) and Lisa Jên (vocal collaborator with Gruff Rhys/Public Service Broadcasting), when Martin over-heard Lisa singing in her kitchen, the band’s first gig was at Greenman in 2005 with their first request for a CD being from Bonnie Prince Billy. Since then they have collaborated with artists all over the world, received rave reviews and played global stages, yet they have never toured this album!

Songs that take you to the North Wales landscape, filled with emotion as the heart and soul of each story is revealed through compelling and exquisitely sung narrative. Etheral voices and dubby beats combine with harp, guitar harmonium and extremely smart arrangements.
