CALAN
Taith Nadolig yng Nghymru | Christmas in Wales Tour

Canolfan y Celfyddydau Aberystwyth Arts Centre
RHAGFYR 12 DECEMBER
Mae Calan – y band rhyngwladol gwobrwyiedig o Gymru – yn ôl ar daith gyda’i rhythmau cofiadwy a pherfformiadau egnïol i ddathlu tymor yr ŵyl. Mae'r band yn dod â'i sioe Nadolig i Ganolfan y Celfyddydau Aberystwyth ar Ragfyr 12fed.

Ymunwch â nhw ar gyfer ‘A Calan Christmas in Wales’ – cracyr o sioe, gyda cherddoriaeth, dawns, pibgod draddodiadol Gymreig, telyn, acordion, ffidlau, a dawnsio step, yn dod â thymor yr ŵyl i fywyd!

Gallwch ddisgwyl riliau poeth a jigiau pefriog ynghyd â rhai caneuon traddodiadol cyfarwydd a hefyd cyflwyniad o ganu Plygain - traddodiad tymhorol Cymreig o ganu cytgord oedd ar un adeg yn boblogaidd yn yr eglwysi a'r capeli.

A chadwch lygaid allan ar gyfer dangosiad arbennig y Mari Lwyd, y traddodiad enwog Cymreig o geffyl hobi wedi'i osod ar ffon a wedi'i addurno â goleuadau sy'n fflachio a rhubanau lliw!

Gan ddilyn eu llwyddiant yn Borneo, Canada, yr UDA, Awstralia, Ffrainc a Denmarc, mae Calan ar eu ffordd gartref ar gyfer y Nadolig!

Parti i’w gofio - felly peidiwch ag oedi i gael eich tocynnau, ar gael o swyddfa docynnau Canolfan y Celfyddydau Aberystwyth ar 01970 623232, artstaff@aber.ac.uk neu www.aberystwythartscentre.co.uk!

Calan - the international award-winning band from Wales are back on the road with their infectious rhythms and high energy routines to celebrate the yuletide season. They're bringing their Christmas show to Aberystwyth Arts Centre this December 12th.

Join them for ‘A Calan Christmas in Wales’; a cracker of a show - with music, dance, traditional Welsh bagpipes, harp, accordion, fiddles and step-dancing, bringing the Yuletide season to life!

Expect flaming hot reels and sparkling jigs along with some familiar traditional songs and also a rendition of Plygain singing - a seasonal tradition from Wales of harmony singing once popular in the churches and chapels.

And look out for the special appearance of the Mari Lwyd; a Welsh tradition of a hobby horse mounted on a stick decorated with flashing lights and coloured ribbons!

Following their great success in Borneo, Canada, USA, Australia, France and Denmark, Calan are ‘driving home for Christmas!’

An unmissable party - so be sure to get your tickets now from the Aberystwyth Arts Centre box office on 01970 623232, artstaff@aber.ac.uk or www.aberystwythartscentre.co.uk!
