Moonstone Screenwriters Lab

Moonstone International Screen Labs was founded in 1997 in consultation with Robert Redfords Sundance Institute. Moonstone supports the work of European independent screenwriters and directors of vision, through its programme of advanced project-based development and training with the assistance of some of the worlds foremost screenwriters.

Up to 12 applicants are selected for each screenwriters lab. Applications are welcome from experienced directors and writer-directors whose feature-length projects are sufficiently developed to benefit from the labs.

During the lab session writers will talk at length with their screenwriter-advisors, including one-to-one meetings on the nature, structure and creative potential of film projects. Accepted projects should ideally be at an advanced draft stage, allowing further development to take place in the lab.

The next screenwriters lab will take place in Northern Ireland between the 01/12/03 and the 07/12/03. The cost of the course is 600 plus VAT, which will cover accommodation and full board costs. Application forms are available on the website
