The Welsh Language Board’s Small Grants scheme provides financial support to organisations in the private and voluntary sector who wish to produce bilingual material. The grants are intended to encourage organisations to use the Welsh language. Priority will be given to organisations who are committed to developing their use of the Welsh language, have a large degree of contact with the public and make material widely available to the public. Public sector organisations are not eligible for the scheme. The board can offer grants to voluntary and private sector organisations that cover up to 50% of eligible costs, a maximum of £300. In the case of signs, the maximum is 20% of costs up to a maximum of £100. Grants in the past have been awarded for the production of booklets, leaflets, packaging, posters, signs and websites.
