Artists Working in Criminal Justice System

The Centre for Applied Theatre Research (CATR) has been commissioned by the Unit for arts and Offenders to undertake a review of literature and practice in the arts and criminal justice sector.

The research findings will identify a range of different models of practice in the sector including aims and objectives, methods and theoretical models drawn up by practitioners.

CATR would like to hear from artists and companies who are working in the criminal justice system in prevention, custodial or resettlement areas. The aim is to represent the wide variety of arts in the sector.

Artists should contact CATR if they have any published or unpublished reports or other literature connected to their work. The final report will support arts practice in the sector and aid future research. All literature used will be fully referenced and the final report is due to be published in January 2004.
