The script development company Euroscript is running an advanced residential screenwriting workshop in the Belgian countryside near Brussels, 21-28 February 2004. The workshop is open to writers with a full length screenplay for film or television which has had some previous development either through written feedback, another course, a performed reading or input from a production company. Participants are expected to have specific questions/areas they want to work on with regard to the script. The course aims to help writers take their script to the next level, with extensive feedback/advice; practical exercises; some role playing/character work; small group workshops; and tutorials. Films will also be screened for discussion. Applications are welcome from writer/producer teams. The cost of the course is £695 (includes meals, accommodation and tuition, but not transportation to and from the venue); writers from the UK may be eligible for a bursary from the Film Council Training Fund of up to £500 (telephone 0207 861 7861 for more information on availability of bursaries). Members of the WGGB and the WGA will also receive a 10% discount on the price of the course. As long as you email your intentions to participate to annewoods@lineone.net as soon as possible, the deadline for submission of draft scripts will be extended to 16th February 2004.
