Cyfrwng is a new project for the Welsh media industry comprising three inter-linked elements: a new annual journal; an annual conference; and a website. The aim of the project is to provide a forum for the presentation of research and scholarly discussion surrounding the Welsh media industry - film, television, new media, radio, journalism, theatre and performance studies. The first volume of the journal - Cyfrwng: Media Wales Journal / Cyfnodolyn Cyfryngau Cymru - has a theme of ‘Wales and the World’ and will be launched at the first annual conference, to be held at the University of Wales, Bangor, 16th -18th April 2004. Prices for the conference range from £180 to £5. Registration forms, which are available for download from the website, must be returned by 22nd March 2004.
