BARCLAYS MAKE THEATR NA N’OG PLAY ACCESSIBLE TO SPECIAL NEEDS SCHOOLS Neath based Theatre-in-Education company Theatr na n’og have received a £5000 donation from Barclays Community Investment Programme to extend their next theatre production to Special Needs schools across three county boroughs. The production called Big Bad Wolf will tour to over 75 infants schools in Swansea, Neath Port Talbot and Bridgend from April to July this year. The donation enables the company to specially adapt the play and the accompanying Education Resource Pack, with advice from Special Needs Advisory Teachers, to make the production more accessible to Special Needs schools. Kathy Brown, Barclays Community Manager for Wales said, “This is a great opportunity for Barclays, to make a real and lasting difference to the local community, making the arts accessible to all schools within the locality . As part of the community its vital that we are able to put something back for everyone to enjoy.” Big Bad Wolf will tour free of charge to Special Needs schools from 12 to 16 July 2004. Any schools interested in booking should contact Theatr na n’Og on 01639 641771 or email cwmni@theatr-nanog.co.uk as soon as possible.
