EU-India Economic Cross Cultural Programme     

The Delegation of the European Commission to India has published a third Call for Proposals for the EU-India Economic Cross Cultural Programme (ECCP). The deadline for submission of proposals is the 3rd June 2004. The key objective of the ECCP is to promote and support links and joint ventures between civil society organizations in India and the European Union in the fields of media, enterprise and university. The programme was first launched in 1997. The minimum grant size is €250,000 and the maximum is €500,000. Grants cannot exceed 80% of the total eligible project costs.

Priority will be given to proposals relating to the following areas:
- Media, Communication and Culture
- Entrepreneurial Networking
- Universities and Studies

Preference will be given to proposals that address one or more of the following themes:
-cultural diversity
-heritage
-gender issues
-environment
-regional integration
-e-governance

The type of activity that can be funded includes:
-training, exchanges, internships, temporary assignments
-know-how information exchange, knowledge transfer and applied research
-seminars, conferences, workshops, exhibitions, lectures, chairs and cultural events
-production support, promotion and distribution of printed electronic and audio-visual material and publications
-preservation and/or improvement of archives and the creation and/or strengthening of joint Indian and European documentation centres
-comparative studies

Any legal entity from the public or private sector who have their headquarters in the EU (Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxemburg, the Netherlands, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom) or India is eligible to apply.

Applications should be submitted with at least two partners from different EU member states and one partner from India.
