Scarecrow |
First
presented in 2010
by Theatr Powys |
synopsis:
A warm and deliciously funny new play In a tumbledown cottage, half swallowed by the trees creeping over ruined walls jutting like broken teeth. A forgotten place, haunt of rooks in the morning. Quiet though. Peaceful.
It was Wynne’s place. Her refuge - where she took her ten-year old self and the things in her head for some piece of mind in the quiet.
Until, that is, she rescued him - Scarecrow. In bits he was, the stuffing knocked out, so Wynne pulled him together and fixed him up. She even made him a new face with eyes and a smile. And that’s when all the threads started coming together.
Scarecrow is about being young and making sense, about finding friendship and the search for family.
