synopsis: A woman embarks on a journey - a passage through time, space, different cultures, her life. She is alone - or are there others who speak through her? The Ancients of legend and ritual, the diversity of being in her own memory. In a fusion of ritual dance, new choreography, theatrical image, poetry and live music , Caminhos celebrates the Rites of Passage through life. Using storytelling and an interweaving of traditional songs in Native Brazilian Indian, Portuguese and Celtic languages, the philosophical concept of multiplicity within human beings is explored. |
