synopsis: Ta-Ra Teresa - the first bilingual production at Theatr Gwynedd in Bangor - focuses on the protests over "incomers" settling in North Wales. Written by Aled Jones Williams, it tells the story of Johnny who moves to Blaenau Ffestiniog from Liverpool with his three-year-old daughter. While the little girl soon becomes absorbed in the Welsh language and culture and making new friends, her father finds it difficult to settle. The production is presented in both the Welsh and English languages but simultaneous translation techniques are used. |
