synopsis: Montmartre, Paris. The Age of Jazz. Monsieur Dutilleul is an ordinary man; a man of habit living an entirely unremarkable life; until that is, he discovers his remarkable power, the ability to walk through walls. A poignant comedy ensues as Dutilleul transforms, becoming the fabulous burglar ‘The Lone Wolf’. Will newfound celebrity offer fulfillment? Only when he finds he can love and be loved does he question the walls he has built around himself. |

| The intriguing title sets the scene for the world premiere of the latest Charles Way play, adapted from a Marcel Ayme short story. Ian Yeoman’s imaginative and stylish staging employs much mime with lots of lively songs and dances to break up confrontations, breathing pacey life into the surprisingly bizarre, not to say surreal events. The four-strong cast is effectively headed by Ralph Bolland as Dutilleul, with Naomi Doyle, Olwen Medi and Chris Batten portraying a whole parade of unusual characters.
