At Frapetsus by Frapetsus Productions- I'll Be There Now In A Minute It's often said that the best thing about the Welsh sense of humour is our ability to laugh at ourselves — and this is no more evident than in Jack Llewellyn's warm-hearted and relentlessly funny new comedy I'll Be There Now In A Minute

Picking up where 2012's Whose Coat Is That Jacket? left off, Dean Verbeck directs the continuing adventures of Carmarthenshire's disparate Williams family in which Angharad (Sara Harris-Davies), Dai (Danny Grehan) and their son Rhodri (writer Jack Llewellyn) jet off on their first foreign holiday.

But while you can take the Williams's out of Trimsaran, you can't take Trimsaran out of the Williams's, and despite being set mainly in Tenerife, their bickering interactions with fellow holiday makers Barry (Tony Wright) and Popppy (Nia Trussler Jones) – also conveniently from Trimsaran - make the entire thing feel like a little piece of Wales away from home.

With the comforting familiarly of the most cherished of sit-coms, it plays out like an extended episode of Only Fools and Horses, mixing slapstick, innuendo and misunderstandings to great comic effect, all mixed up with its unique component – its unashamed Welshness.

But for all the laughs, as the relentless comedy reaches its inevitable crescendo in an indescribable song contest (trust me – it needs to be seen to be believed!), the show throws a curveball by slipping in a moment of poignancy in which Angharad reveals exactly why it is she sticks by her much-lamented husband.

For while the Welsh might be known for our ability to laugh at ourselves, we are also known for our unfaltering, if misguided, family loyalty.

I'll Be There Now In A Minute is a worthy sequel and Welsh comedy at its finest.
