venue policy The Ffwrnes sits proudly in a prime location in the heart of Llanelli town centre and has much to offer theatre-goers & visiting companies - modern backstage and Front of House facilities, improved transport links as well as the cosy Caffi-Bar Cwtsh serving light snacks & refreshments, all generating a real sense of belonging and commitment to the community. These all play their part in creating the underlying spirit of Theatrau Sir Gâr’s new flagship venue.

Daring to be different, the Ffwrnes is a new creative and cultural centre for the performing arts, media & community events. It comprises of a state-of-the-art auditorium, specially designed to accommodate a broad range of performances, film screenings, conferences and cabarets, live gigs, “eisteddfodau” or even a traditional Twmpath Dawns or Tea Dance! With an audience capacity of up to 500 and 650 for unseated events, the space can be rearranged to accommodate a number of different seating formats as required. With excellent access facilities for people with disabilities, a centrally located box office and a spacious foyer coupled with modern backstage facilities, the Ffwrnes is one of the best equipped and energy efficient theatres of its kind.

Main House
The main house has been designed as a flexible auditorium capable of hosting a range of presentations and productions. The fully hydraulic retractable seating system allows for the space can be rearranged to accommodate a number of different seating formats depending on the needs of the performance.


Above stage a full-height & fully motorised fly-tower enables us to accommodate large scale proscenium productions. Whatever you may need from the auditorium space, we’re confident we can accommodate them.


Stiwdio Stepni
The smaller and more intimate Stiwdio Stepni offers flexible technical facilities and seating configurations. Well suited to small-scale productions, reviews & jazz clubs, together with dance classes, literature readings, & film clubs, Stiwdio Stepni is the perfect complement to the main house for smaller, more intimate events.




Caffi - Bar Cwtsh
Our licensed Caffi-Bar Cwtsh is open from Monday to Saturday serving hot beverages, drinks & light snacks. It’s the ideal location to relax and soak up the atmosphere of a working theatre, even if you’re not attending a performance. We have complimentary Wi-Fi in all our public areas, so you can keep up to date whilst enjoying a coffee or snack. Caffi-Bar Cwtsh is open from 11am until 3pm and will re-open an hour prior to evening performances until after the interval.


Canolfan Sbarc
The former Zion Chapel has been sensitively refurbished and transformed into a modern, well-appointed social enterprise centre which will be occupied by clusters of cultural social enterprises, arts organisations and practitioners who promote and utilise the performing arts and media as effective tools for social change. The centre will be driven by the recognition of local people, their diverse cultural interests & backgrounds, skills & aspirations.

How do I get my tickets?
There are two ways to get your tickets. We can either send them to you in the post once you’ve booked and paid for them or we can hold them at the Ffwrnes Box Office for collection at a time to suit you.

Where do I park my car?
There is a large new car park almost directly opposite Ffwrnes. You will have to pay for parking but you’ll be glad of a very short walk to get to us!

What time does your Café Bar open?
The Café Bar is open seven days a week during the following hours:
Monday - Saturday 1100 - 1500
