| venue policy | The Dolman Theatre is a registered charity (No. 232628). It was formed in 1924 and has been at the present site since 1967. The theatre has recently undergone refurbishment and is home to the Newport Playgoers Society. The venue is also very popular with local and touring companies. |
| seating capacity | The Auditorium seats 400 and has a designated wheelchair section. The Studio seats 60 and is a multi-functional space for small productions, readings, films and seminars. It too has disabled access. |
| technical details | The main stage is approximately 13m x 10m and has the full production equipment expected of a middle-sized theatre. |
| disabled resources | The Auditorium and Studio can be accessed via a lift from the foyer. Toilet facilities for the disabled are available. |
