Gest Performance Training are pleased to announce details of a new Weekly Acting Course for adults: A ten week course - Every Monday 7.45pm - 9.45pm Dates: Monday October 4th 2004 - Monday December 6th 2004 inclusive Venue: Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, North Road, Cardiff Cost: £100 per person (Please note that this course is strictly limited to 16 places - so apply early!) This course is suitable for anyone over 18 who wants to build on their acting and performance skills and gain confidence, whatever their previous experience. The course will cover the following, although some weeks may be moved around or changed slightly to accommodate visiting tutors or the specific learning needs of students: Week 1 - Focus and concentration, owning the space Week 2 - Motivation, intention, action Week 3 - Improvisation Week 4 - The physical actor Week 5 - Voice and communication Week 6 - Developing a character Week 7 - Introduction to text Week 8 - Text work Week 9 - Text work Week 10 - Final rehearsal and showing. End of term get-together! Students who complete this course will then be elligible to enrol on an advanced acting course from Jan 2005.
