The Hosking Houses Trust is inviting applications for its Writer in Residence scheme. The appointment is for one year and is restricted to women aged forty+, writing in English and who are a legal UK resident. The successful applicant will be given occupancy of a cottage near Stratford-upon-Avon and a monthly bursary of £200. Applicants must have published a significant work on any subject, or broadcast, taught or acted extensively in the English language. The Residency is intended for starting or completing interesting or innovative work that might otherwise be abandoned. The closing date for application is 16th October 2004.
