Writers' Pool Scheme     

The Royal Literary Fund are seeking promising writers of all ages for The Writers' Pool Scheme. Mentorship will be granted to 12 new writers who are working on, or beginning a full-length novel, biography, play, script or collection of poetry. Successful applicants must be committed to meeting with an experienced author a total of 10 times over the next year.

Applicants should submit 2 copies of their work in one of the following forms, along with a covering letter and a SAE:
*Novelists: three chapters of a novel
*Short story writers: two short stories suitable for print
*Radio writers: two short stories suitable for radio or two scenes from a proposed radio play
*Poets: ten poems
*Biographers or Memoirists: a detailed proposal and two sample chapters
*Other non-fiction: a synopsis and two chapters of non-fiction work
*Playwrights: a synopsis and two sample scenes
*Screen writers and TV writers: synopsis and two sample scenes
