Our emphasis is on creating, devising and promoting new pieces for performance and also producing established work in a way which is revitalising, challenging and relevant to today. The company is based on the concepts of openness and inclusivity, and we aim to provide a space for people to participate in whatever way they choose, whether it’s performing, writing, creating, designing or organising. We aim to produce theatre which is intelligent and of an exceptional standard, as well as being accessible to all. FIRST PROJECT: HEARING • OURSELVES • SPEAK Although our emphasis is on theatre, we also recognise the importance of the artistic community as a whole and welcome involvement from individuals from a wide spectrum of artistic backgrounds – from dance and performance art, to music, to photography, film and painting – and we encourage a sharing of voices, ideas and experiences. For our first project, we would therefore like to invite artists and performers with a wide range of interests and mediums to be involved in a performance evening which celebrates the diversity of the artistic community in Cardiff. The evening will be entitled HEARING • OURSELVES • SPEAK. We are holding a first meeting for all those interested in being involved on Tuesday 15th February in Journeys café in Roath from 7pm onwards (1 and 2 Upper Clifton Street, Roath, Cardiff – OFF NEWPORT ROAD BY THE INK SPOT).
