Prop-Wash theatre' presents “LEVITICUS" which looks at a female view on modern day life and how it can become one’s own personnel (sic - TiW Ed) Divine Comedy The play opens on Friday 23rd September 2005 at The main theatre at Chapter Arts Centre, Cardiff.
In modern day life we are bombarded with advertising for style, food, the body beautiful and ideas of what is perfection. Leviticus will explore how the ideals of perfection for people through time have been represented and manipulated. The play takes us into one person’s (Dancer Agnieszka Blonska of Equalboubt) own version of a modern day Dante's hell. It also highlights the many issues of beauty, eating disorder and body Image throughout time, right up to the use of plastic surgery and the questions of Genetics.
By using exciting technology such as Video projectors and Video DJing. I will be pushing back boundaries and exploring challenging issues in an innovative way. Video DJing enables visuals, sound and movement to merge together on stage to create an excitingly fluid performance to explore what I believe are incredibly important issues that are rarely discussed in the arts
The Play Takes place on Friday 23rd September and Saturday 24th September 2005, starts at 8pm Admission is £4 for Adult and £3 concession
