Dick Whittington is still in Newport...donít miss him!     

The Riverfront panto, DICK WHITTINGTON is now well underway and will run until 3 January 2006 so don’t miss out! Tickets are selling fast so make sure you book now for this hilarious Christmas show.

DICK WHITTINGTON at The Riverfront is written by Roy Hudd and has received rave reviews since opening night on the 6 December 2005. It stars Hollyoaks' John Graham Davies as the evil King Rat, Larry Dann from The Bill as Alderman Fitzwarren and Mark Powlett from hit children's TV show, BRUM, as the loveable Idle Jack,. The cast also includes Greg Gillespie as plucky Dick himself, Dee Tails from Hollywood blockbuster Batman Begins as Dick’s trusty side-kick, Tommy the Cat, Jane Deane as Fairy Bow Bells, Welsh comedy star Will Williams as Sarah the Cook an rising Welsh star Samantha Paige as Dick’s love interest, Alice Fitzwarren.

Jane Deane who plays the funky Fairy Bow Bells said “The audience here In Newport have been marvellous so far. We want as many people as possible to come along and support The Riverfront and see for themselves what a great show it is!”

Mark Powlett who plays adorable Idle Jack added “I’m surprised and delighted about how responsive the audiences in Newport have been. It’s a pleasure to be cheered on and see the smiling faces of children as they are enthralled by our story!”

This classic Christmas panto has something for kids of all ages including a side-splitting script, superb set, plenty of surprises and loads of opportunity to hiss and boo!
