Theatr Mwldan is delighted to present NTC Touring Theatre Company’s exciting stage adaptation of Charles Dickens’ best-loved novel, Great Expectations on Monday 27th February. Great Expectations is a mystery and a love story with a big but simple theme; that affection, loyalty and conscience are more important than the grasping pursuit of wealth and social advancement. NTC introduce the unique mixture of comic characters who do their best to aid and abet (and hinder) the young boy Pip’s quest to better himself and seize hold of his ‘Expectations’. But who’s paying for it? And with what kind of coin? NTC brings a fresh, accessible and entertaining look at this classic novel using their inventive house-style of physical and non-naturalistic theatre, which is so well suited to Dickens’ use of visual images and motifs. NTC specialise in bringing inventive and physical professional theatre to rural areas, and their performances are always intimate and imaginative.
