Hijinx Theatre will perform Seize The Day at The Riverfront on Wednesday 17 May at 7.45pm and Thursday 18 May at 1.30pm and 7.45pm. By Glenys Evans and Directed by Gaynor Lougher, this new play features Sarah Gordy, an actress with Downs syndrome as the new maid downstairs, struggling to learn the ropes in the house of Lord and Lady Webb. Stripped of her freedom and her name, Mary is drawn into the world of 'upstairs' by the daughter of the house. When her love for Lord Webb's groom Harry blossoms, the danger of losing her job as well as her heart grows. Perceptions will be challenged, obstacles will be overcome, and prejudices will be re-evaluated in this thought-provoking tale of breaking out. This play will be of particular interest to people within the learning disabled community. Ticket prices are £7 and Reductions: £5 and can be obtained by calling The Riverfront on 01633 656757, visit the Box Office or book online at |
