A conversation, a performance. Lines of intention. Patterns of movement. A physical and emotional collaboration that deconstructs understandings of art forms, self and other. Breaking barriers between workshop process and performance product. An investigation of mans search for an understanding of our spiritual creative perception.
This new collaborative performance piece from Maria Hayes (visual artist) and Paul Davies (dance artist) is a merging of two art forms to discover a new hybrid. Without compromising on creative integrity the artists explore ways of working together to reveal the tensions and excitements when two artists converse. The new work is a combination of improvisation and set structures which mean each performance is unique.
In tandem with this performance is an educational programme that offers participants chance to explore both dance and art, and the overlap. Some performances will include a presentation of the participants work.
