In responding to the publication today (Wednesday 29 November) of the report, A Dual Key Approach to the Strategic Development of the Arts in Wales, by the Wales Arts (Stephens) Review, Professor Dai Smith, Chairman of The Arts Council of Wales, said:"The Arts Council of Wales welcomes the publication of the Stephens Report, as our shared concern is to move forward to a secure basis for developing and funding the arts in Wales. ACW will be considering the findings and recommendations of the Report over the coming weeks, and we shall agree a full response when Council meets on 11 and 12 December." The findings and recommendations of the Stephens Report will be debated by the National Assembly for Wales on 6 December. |
