Made In Wales is appealing against the Arts Council's cut (90k) to new writing.

Made In Wales is appealing against the Arts Council's cut (90k) to new writing. We asked ACW for their written records of the advisory meeting (and, by the way, who did have a vote? For that matter, who chose the advisors given at least one of their stated personal agendas??) but Jo Weston's respone was 'I would note that ACW does not make minutes of panels and committees or Agenda B of Council available' - Oh, right, fair enough Jo, so this is the new transparent, accountable ACW...

The matter is now in the hand of our solicitors.

Meanwhile a coffin will be delivered to ACW by Welsh writers and performers... And now the good news - Three more Made In Wales plays are to be published (supported by an Arts Council grant - but not from the drama department) and Made In Wales is working in New York in April - There's a big world out there not controled by Arts Council bureaucrats solely concerned with their own positions and pensions folks! Cheers -
