JACK AND THE BEANSTALK AUDITIONS FOR KIDS AT THE RIVERFRONT!
|
Panto auditions for Jack and The Beanstalk will take place at The Riverfront on Sunday 23 September between 10am – 1pm with registration at 9.30am (last registration at 11am). So, if you know any talented youngsters who live and go to school in the Newport City Council area then send them along!
Produced in collaboration with the Hiss and Boo Company, and starring Brian Hibbard, Jane Tucker and Ieuan Rhys, this high-quality, professional pantomime will be full of beans and runs for a month from Thursday 6 December 2007 to Saturday 5 January 2008 and features two teams of children in fun routines.
The Riverfront is keen to see children’s ‘personality’ as well as their singing, dancing and acting skills: it will not be enough just to be a good dancer! 20 children are needed (plus reserves) to form two troupes of 8-10 who will play alternate days during the run. The minimum age is 8 on the first day of rehearsal (19 November 2007) and the maximum age is 15 yrs and 11 months on the last day of the run (5 January 2008). A list of performances and rehearsal commitments will be available on the day. All children are invited to come along whether they go to a drama or dance school or club, if they study drama in school or if they are complete novices and just fancy having a go!
