A series of new short plays developed by a group of emerging dramatists with Aberystwyth Arts Centre. For the past 10 months a selected group of new writers have been working under the guidance of playwright Kaite O'Reilly to develop a series of short plays.
The plays will be presented as rehearsed readings with a cast of professional performers directed by Gilly Adams.
Stephen Todd: Todd's radio play Proud Songster was one of four winners of Channel 4's "The Radio Play's The Thing" competition.
Lara Clough: In October 2006 Honno (Welsh Women's Press) published Clough's contemporary fiction Facing into the West Wind.
Dominic Mitchell: Mitchell is currently writing a short play for Shakespeare's Globe that will be performed in late February.
Mireille de Messieres: De Messieres was short-listed for the Euroscript Film Story competition.
Kaite O'Reilly's play, The Almond and the Seahorse, comes to Aberystwyth Arts Centre 8th April 2008 |
