Fluellen theatre Company in association with Swansea Grand Theatre presents Under Milk Wood By Dylan Thomas

Fluellen theatre Company in association with Swansea Grand Theatre presents Under Milk Wood By Dylan Thomas Tuesday 8th - Friday 11th April as the fictional village of Llareggub and its inhabitants are brought to life by Fluellen Theatre Company.

Directed by Peter Richards, designed by Edward Thomas (Doctor Who & Torchwood) with music especially composed by Delyth Jenkins and starring Kevin Johns, this is an unmissable production of the great Welsh play!

Llanreggub is a fictional village populated with some of the most loved characters in dramatic literature; Rev Eli Jenkins, Willy Nilly the Postman, Organ Morgan, Cherry Owen and of course blind Captain Cat (who sees everything!) and the rest of the residents all in tow.

Under Milk Wood was originally written as a radio play and later developed into a stage play and film starring a host a Welsh acting talent.

The storyteller, (First Voice) invites the audience to listen in on the dreams of the fictional small Welsh village of Llareggub ("bugger all" spelt backwards), and their innermost thoughts and dreams are laid bare to us. There is Mrs. Ogmore-Pritchard, relentlessly bossing her two dead husbands; the two Mrs. Dai Breads; Organ Morgan, obsessed with his music; Polly Garter pining for her dead lover. Later, the town wakes and we see them go about their daily business, aware of how their feelings affect whatever they do.

Tickets are available from the Theatre Box office, 01792 475715. All tickets are £9.50 with some concessions available.
